The rules governing the use of BTCTrail.

1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing BTCTrail, you confirm that you:

  • Have read, understood, and accept these Terms
  • Are at least 18 years of age or legal majority in your jurisdiction
  • Are not prohibited by applicable law from using privacy analysis tools
  • Accept that these Terms may change with notice
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

3. Account System

3.1 Account Creation

  • Accounts are generated as random numerical strings (e.g., `7842-9183-5561-0092`)
  • No email, name, phone number, or identity verification required
  • One account per user; we do not enforce this technically but prohibit abuse

3.2 Account Security

Your Responsibility
  • Secure storage of your account number
  • Confidentiality of your account number
  • All activity under your account
Our Limitation
  • We cannot recover lost account numbers
  • We cannot identify unauthorized access
  • We have no identity to associate

3.3 Account Termination

  • Pro subscriptions expire automatically without renewal payment
  • We reserve the right to terminate accounts for violating these Terms, illegal use, or technical abuse (DDoS, scraping, API exploitation)
  • No refunds for terminated accounts

4. Service Description

4.1 Features

BTCTrail provides Bitcoin privacy analysis including Privacy Score calculation, vulnerability detection, KYC exposure assessment, and multi-hop tracing. We use an ephemeral, zero-knowledge proxy gateway to deliver high-speed blockchain data. We do not log, store, or profile the addresses traveling through this gateway.

4.2 Accuracy & Limitations

  • Heuristics: Probabilistic, not definitive proof
  • Scores: Algorithmic estimate, not legal guarantee
  • KYC Data: Provided by 3rd parties, unverified
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE: Blockchain analysis is evolving. BTCTrail makes no guarantee that vulnerabilities are exploitable or that absence of findings indicates perfect privacy.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

  • • Analyzing your own addresses
  • • Research and educational purposes
  • • Improving personal privacy practices

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT use BTCTrail for harassment, stalking, illegal surveillance, fraud, theft, CSAM, exploitation, terrorism financing, automated scraping, circumventing security, or reselling access.

5.3 Enforcement

Violations may result in account termination, IP blocks, and cooperation with law enforcement for serious crimes.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Payment Method

Bitcoin on-chain and Lightning Network only. No fiat accepted.

No refunds except for technical failures.

Terms

  • Credits: Never expire
  • Monthly: 30-day access
  • Annual: 365-day access

Verification

You must provide TXID or preimage for manual verification if automated confirmation fails.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content: BTCTrail code, algorithms, interface design: All rights reserved. You receive no license to reverse engineer or copy.

7.2 Your Content: Analysis reports generated for your addresses: Yours to use. You may download, share, modify reports without attribution.

7.3 Feedback: Suggestions you provide may be implemented without compensation or credit.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • • Accuracy of analysis results
  • • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • • Non-infringement
  • • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

8.2 Limitation of Liability

We have zero liability for: privacy breaches based on analysis, financial loss, service downtime, data loss, or third-party reliance on your reports.

MAXIMUM LIABILITY: In no event shall BTCTrail's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months, or $100 if no payment was made.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify BTCTrail from any claim arising from your use of the Service, violation of Terms, or violation of law.

10. Governing Law

Governed by neutral conflict of law principles. All disputes resolved via binding, individual arbitration. Class actions waived.

11. Misc

Entire agreement. We may assign rights. Headings are for convenience only.
